Loving Care for All Pets in the St. Louis Region

Bonk is quite the sassy personality. He knows what he wants and will let you know if he doesn’t like something by giving you a nice slap or head butt. That said, he loves hanging out with people and getting to run around the house (with the cats locked away!) and explore.

Rambunctious and independent, Cosmo is the biggest kitty in our family. We adopted him from the Cheshire Grin Cat Cafe in 2020 and he’s been best buds with our German Shepherd, Heidi, ever since.

We have three freshwater fish tanks in our home that include goldfish, shrimp, crayfish, zebra danios, and neon tetras. I enjoy using mainly natural items such as live plants and real rock and wood elements in my tanks.

Heidi has to be the sweetest, most gentle dog ever. Even her vet said that she’s never met such a sweet German Shepherd. Heidi is shy around humans that she doesn’t know and scared of loud noises such as thunder and fireworks. However, she loves all animals, especially the family cats.

The sweetest goofball in the house, Hiru loves snuggling with his mommy and his sister Tora. Hiru was born as a farm cat in Hokkaido, Japan before I adopted him and his sister in 2008. Hiru and his sister both have early-stage kidney disease, so I frequently give them subcutaneous fluids myself.

Merlyn showed up meowing in our backyard in September of 2024. Despite our original intention of finding her a different home, Merlyn quickly worked her way into our hearts and is here to stay. She is the craziest kitten I have ever met and enjoys bouncing off of everything, wrestling with her new best friend, Cosmo, and constantly attempting to steal everyone’s food. She has truly injected a ton of fun energy into our household.

Miss Tora is deeply bonded to me and her brother, Hiru. She is very shy and it takes a while for her to feel comfortable with new people. She likes calm afternoons of snuggling in my lap while I read and loves to sleep curled up next to my pillow at night.
